I’d love hear the samples, I was on the live AVS stream today as Ivan idea in the chat, wanna try the test in my recording studio, I think this would be very interesting!
Hi Mark,
I hope this message finds you well.
I’d like to chip in to support your new book on streaming but I closed my Kickstarter account, and am not going to open it again for one campaign.
Is there a way I can do that?
Thanks

Hi Mark,
I’d love to take the test, so please send me the credentials for the FTP site.
Thank you for providing this valuable resource!
Best Regards,

could you please send me the HD audio samples? I really want to participate in this study and wonder if I can hear the difference. Thank you for your work.
Mark, thank you so much for answering my questions about DSD and high resolution audio. Could you send me a link to download the high resolution audio files please?
first of all congrats to having become a glider pilot – it’s good and important to also be part of the “real” outside world with fresh air when spending long hours inside with your profession.
I came across your site and first book some time ago and would like to say a big thank you for sharing your knowledge and your outright comments and fact-backed analyses. It takes a great deal of honesty, character and guts to point out nonsense and false statements within you own industry as clearly as you do, and you really have it in my view. Thank you also for the guts to set-up and carry through your latest project concerning (non)audible differences in the perception of redbook-standard vs. higher-res audio – very impressive, and IMHO very much down to the facts.
There was a slightly similar double-blind experiment in the 90s done by a German Tech-magazine with different mp3 resolutions vs. redbook, where in the end the (experienced) listeners could only dfferentiate between 128 vs 256 kbps mp3 quality but not between 256 kbps cs. redbook standard with statistically significant scores (I can try find and send the link if you are interested). Going from there this seems very much in line with your findings some 30 years later with better gear, but human hearing capabilities not having progressed that much :-).
One more questions regarding your latest book project: I just wanted to make a pledge to your kickstarter campaign but could not find a way to do so – would it still be possible to contribute?
Thanks again for your great work,
stay healthy these days and all the best,
Matt T.

Would like the FTP credentials to listen to the HiRes audio vs CD. I apologize, I found this site difficult to navigate and near impossible to locate what I was looking for. I do appreciate your efforts in audio engineering, and fully understand bit depth vs sample rate vs bit rate. I do a lot of voiceover for online courses, and have used 24-bit/48Khz for years. I’ve always felt it to have a superior quality/fidelity to 16-bit/44.1Khz.
just a young nerd bored at home trying to figure out how to get the highest quality sound out of my speakers, I’ve come to the conclusion after hours of tuning to random songs off various platforms it’s not me it’s the quality of whatever ever it’s being played from. id greatly appreciate access.
Hi!
Just listened to an ecoustics podcast featuring you, and would really love to participate in the HiRes Audio challenge and get educated on this matter. If you are still continuing this study, please send the credential to download the files.
I totally agree with your view on how the quality of recorded music should be preserved and that it’s up to engineers and studio staff to do it, of course, if the music industry and its cold-blooded rules allow it!
Anyway, since the proof is always in the pudding, may I have access to some of your carefully engineered hi-res files in order to get a taste of the real thing?
Many thanks.
Just listened to the podcast on e-coustics. Confirmed my suspicions, but more importantly, opened my mind to immersive audio (and will likely deplete my bank acct). So yes to test. Please send me the samples.
i’m developing a shell script for evaluating the integrity of lossless audio files and would greatly appreciate if i could have access to your ftp server so i can grab one of the hd samples for reference purposes
Hi I’m really keen to test my R2R Ladder DAC and the Focal/Musical Fidelity 2Ch HiFi build with highest quality audiophile FLAC files. If you could share any for my setup, test & A/B comparison listening that would be a huge help. Thx in advance

Hi! You don’t go to believe me but I have YEARS! trying to find the Audigy 2 DVD Audio sampler to hear them again, that experience kick my curiosity over HD audio, back then I was like 15 years old I’m 36 now. Please I need the FTP access. Thanks!
Hi Mark,
Long time I haven’t heard from you (since those days your recordings on Audigy2 dvd and reading your blog/emails coming from the former AIX website). Glad to hear you got some HD music samples to try. Wishing you well, excited to read new articles and sharing that love for HD music.
My best regards to you,
Javier
Hi Mark,
I would like to try out your free 96/24 HD samples before looking to purchase the bluray samplers from your record site.
I have been following a number of your lectures and discussions on YouTube recently and also discussions on “hi-res” on Amird’s and Archimago’s websites. As a (retired) communications engineer and a lifelong hifi enthusiast, I am very happy to see the scientific evidence you all are providing to counteract the increasing levels of wishful and profit-motivated nonsense that now seems to pervade the hifi/audio industry.
I would also like to have the free chapter of your “Music and Audio” book to consider whether to purchase a copy (with disc).

Dear Mark
How can I get in contact with you regarding my order of your e-book and files ?
I can not seem to find any e-mail information, so I hope to get in contact with you in this way.
Today I placed an order (#6**3) and downloaded the zip file containing the audio files, and the pdf containing the book.
Book displays with no problems, but I am not able to open the zip archive (using Win 10)
Windows display an error message saying that the zip file is corrupted or empty, even though of 77Mb size.
Can you please verify if the file size is correct, or if I need any special program to extract the file?
Thank you in advance
BR from Denmark
It is fixed now. Sorry for the problem.
